“No Paintbrushes” - Abstract Painting with Marie Wilkinson

Monday 20th April 2026

No rules. No mistakes. No pressure.

Join us for a vibrant session of abstract painting in a relaxed, creative space where no experience is needed!

You’ll unleash your imagination using unexpected tools like cardboard tubes, cut-up plastic, old toothbrushes, piksters, natural sea sponges, and gum nuts. Items that might have ended up in the bin become your instruments of joy.

This is painting made playful. Whether you come solo, with friends, family, or for a quirky date, you’ll explore intuitive expression through what Marie calls ‘The Freedom Technique’ and ‘Mind-LESS-Presence.’ The art of creating without overthinking. You’ll bust through creative blocks, trust your inner spark, and maybe even surprise yourself.

Marie brings years of experience as a visual artist and community arts facilitator, plus a Diploma in Creative Arts and Health. She knows first-hand how creative play boosts confidence, opens new ways of thinking, and supports wellbeing. Science agrees: art can lift your mood, enhance relationships, and even be good for your brain.

Ages 25+. Bookings required.
