The Town’s Local Government Elections were held on Saturday 21 October, with the vote count conducted by the Returning Officer at the Town’s Administration building. The full results can be found on the WA Electoral Commission website or via the official notice found here
In addition to Mayor, there were five Councillor positions to be filled in this year’s elections.
- Councillor (Banksia Ward) – 3 positions (2x 4-year terms, 1x 2-year term)
- Councillor (Jarrah Ward) – 2 positions (4-year terms)

MAYOR
There were three candidates contesting the position of Mayor
VERNON, Karen was re-elected – 4-year term until 2027
BANKSIA WARD
There were seven candidates contesting the three available positions.
ANDERSON, Claire was re-elected first – 4-year term until 2027
MELROSA, Peter was elected second – 4-year term until 2027
MILES, Lindsay was elected third – 2-year term until 2025
JARRAH WARD
There were six candidates contesting the two available positions.
MINSON, Daniel was elected first – 4-year term until 2027
CROESER, Sky was elected second – 4-year term until 2027

Election of the Deputy Mayor and nominations of Council Member representatives to various committees and advisory and working groups will occur Monday 30 October.
Local government elections are held every two years, on the third Saturday in October.
The Mayor and Council Members are each elected for four-year terms, with half of the elected members being elected every biennial election.
The Town of Victoria Park Council is made up of nine Elected Members:
- Mayor - represents the entire district;
- Council Members – Banksia Ward(4); and
- Council Members – Jarrah Ward (4).
