The Town has received a development assessment panel (DAP) application for additions and alterations to an existing single storey commercial premises (Tavern) at the above-mentioned property. The application proposes the extension and reconfiguration of the existing ‘Tavern’ land use, comprising the following primary items:

  • Internal and external demolition works to the existing built form;
  • Internal and external modifications, with the retention and re-configuration of the existing drive-thru bottleshop;
  • Extension of ground floor area, and the addition of a roof terrace, incorporating patron seating and amenities;
  • Operating hours from 9:30am-12:00am (Monday-Saturday), and 10:00am-12:00am on Sunday;
  • Retention and re-configuration of existing car parking areas across both parcels of land (comprising the same lot), with provision of 56 car parking bays and 13 bicycle parking spaces;
  • Provision of additional landscaping area, trees, and other vegetation to the car parking areas and the proposed built form;
  • Provision of lighting to both parcels of the lot; and,
  • Signage.

 

Note: the subject site comprises one lot, covering two separate parcels of land (separated by Terminus Lane). One parcel of land faces Albany Highway, the other parcel faces Hubert Street.
