From Plastic to Fantastic: DIY Beeswax Wraps and Lip Balm Workshop

Saturday 25th July 2026

To celebrate and help households reduce plastic waste, the Town is offering a practical and creative sustainability workshop focused on easy swaps for everyday living.

Single use plastic makes up a significant portion of household waste, but simple changes can make a big difference. In this hands-on session, participants will learn how beeswax, a natural antibacterial product, can be used to waterproof fabric and create reusable alternatives to cling wrap.

Attendees will make two beeswax food wraps to take home, along with a nourishing beeswax lip balm in a reusable container. This fun and interactive workshop is a great opportunity to learn new skills, reduce waste at home, and explore simple ways to go plastic free.
