McCallum Park and Taylor Reserve Master Plan: Drop-in session

Past Event

The McCallum Park and Taylor Reserve Master Plan was developed in 2017 by the Town and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions' Riverbank Program. It aimed to create a vision for the area, connect the parkland and the river, and create a destination for locals and the broader community.

Since the Master Plan was originally developed, the area has undergone significant development with the addition of the Boorloo Bridge and the McCallum Park Active Area. In light of this, we're now reviewing and updating the Master Plan to reflect these developments, as well as incorporate the potential 'daylighting' of Mindeera Spring - a project which recognises the significant First Nations cultural heritage of the parkland area, as well as the wildlife within.

We are currently seeking community feedback to help shape the updated Master Plan and ensure it reflects our community's vision and priorities for the parkland area.

Drop-in session

As part of this update, we're holding an informal drop-in session at McCallum Park Active area for our community to learn more about the Master Plan and provide their feedback in person.

  • When: Monday, 19 October 2026 from 3-5pm.
  • Where: McCallum Park Active Area. Our team will be walking around the park, so come and say 'hi'!
  • What: chat to our team about the Master Plan, ask questions, and take the survey. No RSVP required, just drop-in if you're in the area.

For more information about the Master Plan update or to give us feedback on the Master Plan through our online survey instead, visit our survey page here.
