For over a century whales were hunted and chased away from the coasts of WA. Since whaling ceased, they have returned.
New local resident Sukhjit met Jack and Susie Cotton, long-term local residents, and they got talking about a blank wall. They invited artists and community wall painter Daniel Connell to design a painting for this space that included whales.
Whales are homecoming. Knowing our neighbours is the key to a resilient and healthy society.
Date: The mural will be completed throughout Art Season (20 March - 30 April), weather permitting.
Location: Carlisle Handymart, 100 Oats Street, Carlisle
