A bright future for Victoria Park Carlisle Bowling Club

Published on Thursday, 15 October 2026 at 2:00:00 PM

At our August meeting, Council proudly adopted a new lease agreement for the Victoria Park Carlisle Bowling Club, providing certainty for one of the Town’s most respected and long-standing community organisations.

The Town has also been delivering a major asset renewal project at the club, converting one of the existing turf greens into a modern synthetic playing surface. The upgrade includes a new drainage system that will allow use of the green year-round and improve its playability in all seasons. These improvements will provide more reliable playing conditions, increase the availability of the facility for members and visitors, and help reduce ongoing maintenance demands on the club.

The project is supported by a $156,000 grant through the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund from the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport, alongside municipal funds from the Town.

Since 1992, the Victoria Park Carlisle Bowling Club has been a Vic Park institution, and we’re proud to help secure the club’s future through the new lease agreement and upgraded playing surface. Works on the synthetic green are progressing well and are expected to be completed in the coming weeks, just in time for the start of the new pennants season.
