Have a retail business and looking for the perfect spot to showcase your wares? Victoria Park has a range of commercial opportunities available, particularly for those in retail and hospitality who are looking to get into the area.

Victoria Park’s location, only minutes to the CBD, coupled with its well-developed public transport network, car parking spaces, cycling and pedestrian options, are just some of the many reasons that make it the perfect option for those looking for shops and retail spaces to rent in Perth.

Two of the key areas within the Town of Victoria Park that offer great opportunities for retail and commercial outlets are the vibrant main streets of Albany Highway and Archer/Mint Streets.

Albany Highway

Albany Highway is a diverse and eclectic high street, with many small properties and narrow, single storey shopfronts that house a diverse spectrum of businesses and attract locals and visitors alike.

It’s reputation as a successful high street come from its array of shops and visual interests that consistently bring people to the area and help to support and sustain local businesses. As a pedestrian friendly strip, Albany Highway is known as a safe and attractive environment to visit, eat, shop and play.

Albany Highway not only supports the diverse inner-city neighbourhood of Victoria Park, but inspires economic growth for the Town and the businesses that form part of its success as a renowned high street.

Archer/Minter Street

Archer and Mint Streets form a central roadway linking Orrong Road with Albany Highway and connecting people to the Carlisle Town Centre, Carlisle train station and East Victoria Park’s Town Centre.

This activated, transit-oriented and mixed-use area, located close to Perth’s CBD and the high street of Albany Highway, makes it the ideal location for businesses on the lookout for shops and retail spaces to rent in or near Perth.

With recent improvements to the streetscape and Town Centre, the Archer/Mint Street area of Victoria Park offers plenty of shading and tree canopy coverage, as well as improved walkability and vibrancy around local businesses in the area.

One business that has found success as a retailer in Victoria Park is boutique florist and café, Greenbunch. Located along Albany Highway, Greenbunch was established by Victoria Park local Shellie Attwood over four years ago, after her successful stint running a similar business in Mount Hawthorn.

“I’ve lived in Victoria Park for nine years now but found that when I had my business in Mount Hawthorn, I wasn’t spending a lot of time in my own neighbourhood,” Shellie said.

“After deciding to sell the Mt Hawthorn business, I had plans to take some time off and relax and found myself spending more time walking around, getting to know my Vic Park neighbourhood. I saw this space and just thought, “this is my shop”, and thus Greenbunch was born.”

Since that time, Shellie has seen the business and the Town continue to grow and develop.

“When I started Greenbunch, I had two staff. We now have 22 staff, which just goes to show how much the business has grown and I can only see that growth continuing as more young families move into the area,” Shellie said.

“It’s wonderful to not only be part of the Victoria Park community as a resident, but to also be able to run my business right here in the neighbourhood that I love. We are blessed with such a multicultural and diverse community where everyone is treated the same, and I have personally found the community exceptionally loyal and supportive.
