Cockitrough goes interstate!

City of Port Phillip in Victoria will soon be the proud host of six Town-designed Cockitroughs, with the precious cargo recently making it across the Nullabor.

The elevated watering holes are destined for the Danks Street Biolink, which stretches approximately 1.4km from Mills Street in Middle Park through to Esplanade East in Port Melbourne, and boasts nature play areas, mature trees and rare indigenous plantings.

By adding Cockitroughs to the Biolink, the City of Port Phillip is helping reconnect fragmented habitats and provide vital water sources for birdlife, contributing to the health of urban ecosystems and conservation of local fauna.

It’s wonderful to see an idea born right here with our Vic Park community now helping support birdlife and biodiversity across Australia.
