The Town celebrates days of significance to recognise and support the diverse communities within our area. These days of significance highlight important cultural, social, and awareness events connected to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, families, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people with disabilities, seniors, women, and youth.
By acknowledging these days, the Town aims to promote inclusion, respect and understanding. We want to work with local community groups and service providers to support community-led events and activities that celebrate the recognised days of significance in our calendar.
Whether you're honouring cultural heritage, raising awareness, or creating inclusive spaces, we'd love to help bring your idea to life! Support from the Town can include financial assistance, event management support, marketing and promotion, and in-kind contributions (such as facility hire).
