The Town of Victoria Park is on the lookout for artists to activate traffic control boxes throughout the town as part of our Mini Mural series. It is intended that the selected artworks will act as a deterrent to graffiti vandalism and activate precincts of the town through public art.
There are two categories for the current round of expressions of interest:
- Vinyl wrap artworks ($500 per artwork) - we are seeking two artworks in this category. The selected artworks will be reproduced and printed onto vinyl wrap and installed on traffic control boxes throughout the town.
- Curtin University emerging artist ($1,200 per painted artwork, $500 per digital artwork for vinyl installation) - we're seeking one artist in this category. The selected artist must supply all materials needed to paint the artwork directly onto the traffic control box, unless opting to submit the final design as digital artwork for vinyl installation.
Expressions of interest are open from 17 October to 30 November. For more information and to make a submission, head to our Mini Murals page here.
