FOGO is coming to Vic Park!
Phase 1 of our FOGO rollout kicks off on Monday 18 August, starting with households already using the Garden Organics (GO) system.
FOGO (short for Food Organics, Garden Organics) is our new 3-bin system that turns food scraps and garden waste into nutrient-rich compost, helping to reduce landfill and support more sustainable waste management.
How the rollout works
FOGO will arrive in two phases:
- 18 Aug – 1 Sept: Households with a GO bin will get a FOGO kitchen caddy and start using their GO bin as a FOGO bin.
- November: All other residential properties will get a third bin and make the switch to FOGO (excluding apartment complexes with more than 10 units).
If you have a GO bin now, here’s what’s coming your way in the next few weeks:
- A FOGO kitchen caddy (for food scraps)
- Two rolls of compostable caddy liners
- A new waste & recycling guide with everything you need to know about FOGO
When your caddy arrives, open it up, read the information inside, set it up in your kitchen, and start putting food waste in your lime-green-lidded bin along with your garden organics.
