A contractor has been engaged by the Town to undertake road resurfacing and associated works at Etwell Street, East Victoria Park, between Riverview Road and Sussex Street.
Road resurfacing works are due to start on Monday 4 May 2026, subject to weather. Access to and from properties within the work zone will be restricted on the days of works, particularly between 7am to 6pm. This is necessary to avoid damage to the road, driveways, and vehicles, as well as to ensure safe passage through the work site.
Please park any vehicles required outside of the work zone prior to 7am on the day(s) of work. Traffic controllers will assist with safe entry and exit to properties, and may give residents 10–15-minutes notice before access is restricted where possible.
Access during works:
- Monday 4 May (7am-6pm): Restricted access during profiling and asphalt resurfacing to Etwell Street (Riverview Road to Basinghall Street).
- Tuesday 5 May (7am-6pm): Restricted access during profiling and asphalt resurfacing to Etwell Street (Riverview Road to Basinghall Street).
- Wednesday 6 May (7am-6pm): Restricted access during profiling and asphalt resurfacing to Etwell Street (Riverview Road to Basinghall Street).
- Thursday 7 May (7am-6pm): Restricted access during profiling and asphalt resurfacing to Etwell Street (Basinghall Street to Sussex Street).
- Friday 8 May (7am-6pm): Restricted access during profiling and asphalt resurfacing to Etwell Street (Basinghall Street to Sussex Street).
Civil works (kerbing and drainage replacement) will also be undertaken on the above areas in mid-May. Street parking will be restricted during these works, however access to and from residential properties will be maintained under direction of traffic control.

To help us complete the works on time, please keep vehicles off the road, kerb, and verge in the work zone.
