Charitable Reuse Australia is pleased to announce the launch of World Op Shop Day on Saturday 18 October 2025, an invitation to all Australians to engage with their local op shop either as a customer, a donor or a volunteer.
World Op Shop Day is all about recognising and amplifying the impact of charitable reuse. The 2025 National Reuse Impact Datasets shows that last year, Australian's saved $2 billion through reuse, while also reducing waste, cutting carbon emissions, and supporting their community. Further, op shops provide support to people doing it tough, create jobs, and fund essential community programs.
How to get involved:
- Shop - Discover unique treasures while supporting vital community programs.
- Donate - Doing some spring cleaning? Give your pre-loved items a second life and help fund essential services.
- Volunteer - Join the thousands of Australians who make op shops possible.
