Expression of Interest - Charles Paterson Park, Burswood

The Town of Victoria Park invites Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified proponents for a 5+5-year ground lease over a portion of Lot 40 Charles Paterson Park, Burswood.

The opportunity is for the development and operation of a sporting or recreational facility that activates the park and delivers community benefit, on terms compliant with Policy 310 – Leasing and Licensing.

The Town is seeking proposals that:

activate public open space,
provide high-quality sporting or recreational outcomes,
demonstrate clear community benefit,
are privately funded, developed and operated, and
respond appropriately to the park setting, including trees, landscaping, access and public interface.

Submissions will be assessed against:

proposed use and site compatibility,
activation outcomes and community benefit,
financial capacity and deliverability,
relevant experience and capability, and
commercial offer value

Expressions of Interest submissions should be marked “EOI - Charles Paterson” and emailed to admin@vicpark.wa.gov.au.

The Town reserves the right to negotiate with any applicant and is not bound to accept any submission. Any proposed lease remains subject to Council approval and applicable statutory processes.

The submission closing date is 5pm Monday 12 October 2026.
