Bulk waste collections are kicking off across Town. First up is area 1, where residents can put out their bulk waste on 13-14 April.
Before starting your clear out, please reacquaint yourself with the do's and don'ts of bulk waste collections.
What can be collected
- Household furniture (no glass or table tops) - lounges, mattresses, office desks
- White goods (doors removed and degassed)
- Electronic waste (power cords removed) - computers, televisions
- Timber products - beds, cupboards, doors
- Other household items - toys
What can't be collected
- Garden waste
- Hazardous waste - batteries, asbestos, globes/tubes, machine parts, motor oil, paints/solvents, tyres
- Car bodies
- Gas cylinders
- Building materials - bricks, concrete, sand/soil, tiles
- Medical waste
- Sanitary products
- Child car seats
- Garage doors
- Fences
