Who will decide this application?
As the land is reserved as ‘Regional Open Space - Restricted Public Access’ under the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS), in accordance with the provisions of the MRS, the responsible decision-maker for this development application is the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC).
It is important to note that the Town is not responsible for making a final decision on this development proposal. The Town is responsible for providing a recommendation and comments to the WAPC, along with a copy of any submission received as an outcome of this community consultation.
It is noted that the decision-maker will take into account the comments received, however, are not obliged to support these views. The development proposal will be considered based on the merits of the case, and with regard to the relevant matters for consideration and any comments received from nearby affected landowner(s) and occupier(s).
