Higgins Park Playground Upgrade
The Town has commenced an upgrade of the Higgins Park playground, which will see the old play equipment replaced and new amenities delivered for the local community.
Works are being delivered in two stages, with Stage 1 kicking off earlier this week.
The playground area is currently fenced off while construction is underway, and existing infrastructure has been removed to prepare the site.
Stage 1 includes:
- Extension of the playground area
- New shelters with table seating
- BBQ installation
- Water fountain
- Additional bench seating
- New pathways
Planning is also underway for Stage 2, which will focus on renewing the playground to suit the expanded footprint. These works are expected to take place in the new financial year, with completion anticipated around September–October.
