The Town is on the lookout for artists to activate utility boxes throughout the town as part of our Mini Mural series. It is intended that the selected artworks will act as a deterrent to graffiti vandalism and help enliven areas of the town through public art.
We're calling on artists of all backgrounds to apply, with the option to paint their artwork onto a utility box or supply digital artwork for vinyl installation.
- Painted artwork: artist fee for painting the artwork onto a utility box is $1,200. The artist must supply all materials needed to paint the artwork directly onto the utility box (the Town of Victoria Park will apply an anti-graffiti coating once painted).
- Digital/vinyl artwork: artist fee for providing a hi-res image suitable for vinyl wrapping is $500 per artwork.
Expressions of interest are now open until 30 November. For more information and to make a submission, head to our Mini Murals page here.
