Paid Parking to be introduced on Burswood Road

Published on Friday, 19 June 2026 at 11:53:00 AM

Paid parking will be introduced along the west end of Burswood Road from July 2026, following a Council-approved review aimed at improving parking management in the area.

The changes will affect approximately 28 on-street parking bays on the western end of Burswood Road, adjacent to Charles Paterson Park. Paid parking will apply Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 6:00pm.

The initiative forms part of the Town’s broader Parking Management Plan and aligns with existing paid parking arrangements nearby. Council says the move is designed to create greater consistency across the local parking network while better balancing the needs of businesses, visitors and residents.

By encouraging turnover, the introduction of paid parking is expected to improve access to short-term parking for customers and park users, making it easier to find available spaces throughout the day.

Motorists will be able to pay for parking using on-site meters or via the EasyPark and PayStay mobile apps. A free 30-minute parking session will also be available once per vehicle, per day, across all paid parking locations within the Town.
