A contractor has been engaged by the Town to undertake road resurfacing and associated works at Hampshire Street, East Victoria Park, between Berwick Street and Albany Highway.
Due to the complexity, volume of traffic and the method of works required, the impact to the adjoining road networks (Albany Highway and Berwick Street) means that some works (replacement of existing surface) have been scheduled as night works. Road resurfacing works are due to start on Thursday 23 April, subject to the weather.
Access to and from properties within the work zone will be restricted on the night of the works. This is necessary to avoid damage to the road, driveways, and vehicles, as well as to ensure safe passage through the work site.
Please park any vehicles you need outside the work zone before 3pm on the day(s) of work. Traffic controllers will assist with safe entry and exit to properties, and may give residents 10–15-minutes notice before access is restricted where possible.
Access during works:
- Thursday 23 April 2026 (3pm Thursday to 5.30am Friday): No access during asphalt wearing course.
