Joe Higgins (1908-1990) was a Perth City Councillor from 1955 to 1987, becoming a Freeman of the City of Perth.

Higgins Park playground
The playground has been temporarily closed at Higgins Park while we make some exciting upgrades, including:
- Extension of the playground area
- New shelters with table seating
- New bench seating
- New BBQ installation
- New water fountain
- New pathways
The above works are expected to wrap up in early August 2026, with brand new playground equipment and soft fall planned to be installed later in the year. This project is all about creating a bigger play space with improved facilities for our community to enjoy. Stay tuned for progress updates on our Facebook page!
