Caretaker Period Public Notice

In accordance with Section 3.73(4) of the Local Government Act 1995 and Regulation 3B of the Local Government (Functions and General) Regulations 1996, the Town of Victoria Park gives local public notice of its intention to undertake a Significant Act during the caretaker period for the upcoming local government elections.  

 

Details of the Proposed Act: 

The Town intends to execute a contract with CCM Furniture Pty Ltd ATF CCM Furniture Trust during the caretaker period pursuant to Council Resolution 174/2025 for the tender TVP-25-02 Cleaning of Council Buildings and Public Toilets. The aim is to provide ongoing cleaning services to the Town’s public buildings and toilets. 

 

Date of Intended Action: 18th September 2025  

Council Decision: On 19 August 2025 Council resolved as follows:

That Council awards the contract associated with TVP/25/02 Cleaning of Council Buildings and Public Toilets, to Tenderer H for the cleaning of the buildings within the Town, with the terms and conditions as outlined in the contract, as a schedule of rates, cost estimated at $337,129.81 per annum, or $1,685,649.05 over 5 years (excluding GST)

This action is being undertaken in accordance with Section 3.73(4)(a) of the Local Government Act 1995, as the decision to proceed was made prior to the caretaker period, and all prescribed requirements under Regulation 3 of the Local Government (Functions and General) Regulations 1996 have been met. A copy of this notice has been provided to the Departmental CEO.
