The Town has received a development application for Carport addition to single house at the above-mentioned property. In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – Community Consultation on Planning Proposals, you are invited to comment on the following:

Carport Primary Street Setback – Council’s Local Planning Policy – Streetscape for a carport requires a minimum street setback of 1 metre to the eaves and 1.5 metres to the columns from Hubert Street. The application proposes a 0.7 metre setback to the eaves and columns from Hubert Street in lieu of the above-mentioned provision.

Boundary Setbacks – The Residential Design Codes prescribes the minimum setback distance of buildings from boundaries other than the street. The application proposes variations to the setback of the following walls:

Carport wall – 1 metres required; 0.3 metres proposed to the south-eastern boundary.
