The Town has received a development application for Change of Use at the above-mentioned properties. In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – Community Consultation on Planning Proposals, you are invited to comment on the following:

• Proposed Use - A ‘unhosted short-term rental accommodation’ use is classified as an ‘A’ (discretionary) land use within the Residential zone under Town Planning Scheme No. 2.  An ‘A’ land use is not permitted unless the local government has exercised its discretion by granting development approval after advertising the application in accordance with clause 64 of the deemed provisions of the Planning & Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.

Summary of the proposal:

• Change of Use application from Multiple Dwelling/s to Unhosted Short Term Rental Accommodation.
• Apartment A (46a Planet Street): 4 bedrooms, two bathrooms. Maximum of six (6) guests as per Management Plan.
• Apartment B: (46b Planet Street): 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms. Maximum of six (6) guests as per Management Plan.
• Parking: Onsite parking for two 2 vehicles and one allocated car bay at the rear of the property.
• Check in time between 3-9pm. Check out time between 7am – 10am.
   

A Management Plan has been provided outlining the complaints management procedure, guest code of conduct, guest register and management contact details.
