5.2026.336.1 - 6A Teague Street BURSWOOD (Closed)

The Town has received a development application for Additions / Alterations (Retaining Wall and Front Fence) to Grouped Dwelling at the above-mentioned property.

In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – Community Consultation on Planning Proposals, you are invited to comment on the following:

  • Retaining Wall and Front Fence – Council’s Local Planning Policy – Streetscape permits a maximum wall height of 1.8 metres at the street boundary.  The application proposes a combined retaining wall and front fence with a maximum wall height of 3.5 metres due to the sloping nature of the block.

  • Fill behind Street Setback Line – The application proposes modifications to the existing retaining wall along the common property boundary with 6B Teague Street and extension of the retaining wall and associated fill along the Teague Street boundary. The retaining wall is proposed to have a varying height of between 0.5 metres and 1.5 metres above natural ground level at the street boundary. The Residential Design Codes permit filling and associated retaining walls behind the street setback line and within 1.0 metre of a common boundary up to a maximum height of 500mm above natural ground level.
