The Town has received a development application for Change of Use to Unhosted Short Term Rental Accommodation at the above-mentioned property.

In accordance with Local Planning Policy 37 – Community Consultation on Planning Proposals, you are invited to comment on the following:

  • Proposed Use – An Unhosted Short-Term Rental Accommodation use is classified as an “A” (discretionary use) within the Residential zone under Local Planning Scheme No. 2.

An “A” (discretionary) land use means that the use is not permitted unless the Town publicly advertised the application and exercised its discretion by granting development approval. Discretion will be based on the merits of the case, with regard to the relevant planning matters for consideration, such as the Town’s Local Planning Policy No. 31 and any written comments received from owners / occupiers of adjoining properties.
