The Town is rolling out bin tagging, an education-focused waste initiative designed to help residents sort their household waste more accurately and reduce contamination in kerbside collections.

Collection days in the Town are usually on Mondays and Wednesdays, but because we've had a few Monday public holidays lately, two extra dates have been added:

The Town's 2024/25 Annual Report was adopted by Council at its Special Meeting of Council held on Tuesday 3 February 2026 and is available for inspection.

On Sunday 30 November, the Town’s contractor will resurface Harper Street between Shepperton Road and Teague Street. Following this, kerbing, footpath and drainage works will be undertaken from early December to late January.

The Town of Victoria Park strongly condemns the Environmental Protection Authority's decision not to undertake any level of review of the State Government’s proposed Burswood racetrack.

This week, the Town completed a review into the landscaping and construction works associated with the Elizabeth Baillie Park upgrade. The review has shown that a number of trees were not adequately protected during construction, resulting in the removal of more trees than originally planned. This outcome falls well short of the Town’s expectation and our community, and we accept full responsibility.

The Town of Victoria Park regrets to advise that two mature pine trees at the Elizabeth Baillie development site have died and will need to be removed. The trees now pose a significant safety risk due to their deteriorating condition. Removal works are scheduled to take place this Saturday, 18 October 2025.

The Town of Victoria Park has urged the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) to undertake a Public Environmental Review (PER) of the proposed Perth Entertainment and Sporting Precinct (PESP), citing concerns about significant environmental and social impacts of the PESP.

The full length of the Armadale Line will reopen on Sunday 12 October with a community event.
